How to report a landlord that won't fix my apartment?
My landlord promised to bring me a new stove that works, but brought me an even older stove that doesn't work. I have asked him to take the dishwasher out since it doesn't work anyway and my exterminator(that I have to pay for out of my own pocket) said that that is where the roaches are breeding. My thermostat doesn't work during the winter it mostly blew cold air. Plus countless other items that create problems. I can't move because I can't find another apartment that I can afford that isn't in a gang infested neighborhod. I am a single mother of three toddlers. Please help if you have any ideas, thanks!

Try the better business bearua (sp). Also, since you have problems with disgusting things, eg roaches, and have a heater that doesn't work, try contacting your local health department and have them investigate. This should get your landlord cracking.

Can anyone name a single liberal issue that is NOT promoted with fictitious claims?
Abortion is promoted with the claim that a woman has a "right" to take human life and that people want to defend the baby's life are actually anti-woman or anti-choice. The claim of the "right" to take human life is propped up by intentionally changing the definition of what life is and abandoning any reasonable biological definition. The first impulse of pro-abortion activists is always to rename the issue to soften the blow, not to call it what it is, to change the debate to something other than the murder of a baby, and to accuse people who aren't involved in the act of abortion of being the real criminals rather than defending their own actions, which obviously began with a stupid, wreckless, irresponsible choice of unprotected sex, as if NOT knowing the consequences is somehow okay. Anti-war is promoted by exaggerating beyond reason the death toll of civilians, by hiding the stories of heroism, by NOT telling stories of improved lives in countries being rebuilt, by exaggerating small, localized crime waves by calling them civil wars, by trying to hide the emergence of grass roots efforts to support the American rebuilding effort, such as the "Sons of Iraq" and by accusing the US government of being the instigators of 9-11. Gay issues are promoted by pretending that gays are actually being denied over 1000 different rights (an obvious exaggeration) when real disputes can be easily obtained by legal documentation or already exist without it. Gay issues are also promoted by the pretense that being gay is genetic, despite complete lack of evidence and research. Global warming is promoted even in a time when record low temps are being set, at a time when global temps are dropping, and by concentrating on evidence of glacier melts in springtime (a natural occurrence), and by pretending that global temps have been measured in any meaningful way for longer than 30 years everywhere throughout the world. Even with health care, democrats feel it necessary to pretend that Americans won't flock to free health care and abandon paying for it or insurance out-of-pocket, Obama pretends death panels don't exist despite the passages in HR3200 and the revival of veteran death counseling, and he pretends that he can pay for it despite the $2.3 trillion annual price tag. Liberals pretend that government control is the only answer without even bothering to inquire of the thousands of medical educators or millions of doctors, nurses, hospital and clinic administrators across the country to solicit ideas. So: Are deception and dishonesty fundamental to being a liberal if this is a common denominator with everything they stand for? Short story written by me?
When his girlfriend greeted him at the door, she was dressed only in a T-shirt and a Thong. She kissed him hard on his mouth before even a word came out, pulled him on the floor. She was so worked up that she even did not notice that he was wearing gloves. They had talked on the cell just five minutes ago. In the conversation he had explained in detail what he planned to do with her, when he got to her place. He talked with a hint of regret that, as her hands headed southwards, he kicked shut the bedroom door, slipped the knife from his concealed sheath beneath his cheap jacket in his hands and drove it slightly through between her ribs and directly to her heart. In the short time he had known her; the girl had proved too adept and was enthusiastic in bed. It would have been a pleasant distraction to have had sex with her on last time. But that would have meant leaving behind incriminating evidence. He was a professional who did not let the desire for cheap gratification get in the way of business. What will happen next? He clasped her close to him while she died. The single blow had been enough as he knew it would be, having killed numerous victims in the same way in the past. She barely made a sound. There was the surprised, pained gasp as the blade went in; her muscles tensed for a final time and her finger nails dug into the pocket of his jacket, but it did not last long as it was quickly followed by the long show released of breath as she relaxed in his arms. He counted to seven in his hand; as she was number seven for him. Afterwards holding on to her, he reached into his pocket with the knife in his hands and took out a handkerchief. The blade on it made a strange kissing sound as it was slowly withdrawn. He used a well practised routine to clean it up, when this was done, he placed the body on the carpet next to the unmade bed and briefly admired his handiwork because she died so quickly, she looking extremely peaceful, lying on the carpet with her eyes closed. It was the quietest he had ever seen her. She had been quiet a talker. She was leaning down. He tried to push her under the bed, but there was not enough of a gap between the bottom of the frame and the floor, so he squeezed her in as far as she could go. He covered the rest of the body with one end of the cotton cover. It was only a gesture, tidying up concealing the body would do nothing to mask the smell that would soon be coming from it, but he was not really concerned about that. He doubted if she would be discovered for a while. She lived alone in her tiny ground floor–flat and had few friends, which had always been one of her complaints about it. He knew she spoke to her mother back home once a week but that was on a Sunday, so it would be another six days before the mother had a reason to worry about her daughter, and a several days more at least before anyone could do anything about it. No one had ever seen him with her. Their few clandestine meetings had always been in that flat. As far as he knew, she had not told anyone about him either, although even if she has it would make no difference. He had given her a false name and a false background story, one of four different identities he periodically used in order to be always one step ahead of the authorities. His DNA would be in this room of course, but then so would the DNA of those few friends of her, and they were mainly illegal’s, it would be difficult to trace them. He saw the girls pink Nokia mobile on the kitchen microwave. He picked it up and put it in his pocket to be disposed of later, then took a last look around seeing nothing else that might incriminate him, he left the bedroom, shutting the door behind, leaving the girl in her lovely dress. Unbeknownst to him, his girlfriends neighbor from across the street had been secretly spying on the pair from her bedroom window and had planned to watch them again that night. She had set up her space with a bottle of chablis, a pair of binoculars, and a tub of cool whip and was prepared to enjoy the "show" like she had on previous nights! At first she had thought they were playing a kinky game but once she saw him cleaning the blade and caressing it lovingly she realized that she was probably looking at not only a killer but a serial killer at that! Besides her rabid fascination with secretly spying on lovers she was also an amateur detective and was particularly obsesed with serial killers! Instead of calling the police she had slipped out of her apartment and into her car while he fumbled with putting the body under the bed. She watched him leave the building and enter his car and stayed right behind him, following at a respectable distance until she saw him enter his apartment building. She followed him into the lobby, only in time to see the elevator doors shut! She walked up to the doorman and smiled sweetly. "Er excuse me sir......the gentleman that just walked in left his lights on" The doorman returned her smile. "Thank you madame! I will inform him immediately" She watched him push 26B and heard him say "Mr Foster you have left your light on in your car, a lady was kind enough to report it to me" She quickly slipped out the door and went home. One Mr Foster was going to have to be on his toes from here on in!
